On Monday 24th September at an EGM the steering group of WilCAP made the decision to dissolve the partnership. A vote in favour was carried and the CAP wound up with immediate effect. Many of the Steering Group members are heavily involved with other community organisations on a voluntary basis including Parish Councils, Community Shops and the EcoPark and felt they did not have time to commit to the CAP.
Ruim 35 jaar geleden begon Wil Capel met zijn eerste winkel, Kunsthandel Wil Capel, in het centrum van Geleen. Zijn specialisatie was schilderijen en Oosterse kunst. Deze winkel is er nog steeds, nu onder de naam Capel Home and Living en richt zich voornamelijk op nieuwe trends op het gebied van interieurs, decoratie en cadeau-artikelen. In de loop der jaren is het pand meerdere malen verbouwd en is Capel begonnen met eigen import. Dit werd een groot succes waardoor de locatie in Geleen te klein werd.
